Are you Sacrificing your Health on altar of Success

I was, until recently.

Growing up, I internalized my respected father’s mantra: “Work is worship.” It seemed like solid advice, rooted in sincerity and dedication.

However, the reality is that this mindset poses a significant threat to our well-being.

I’ve pushed myself to the brink, stretching thin to meet project deadlines.

The cost? My health.

And I’m not alone. I’ve watched close friends crumble under the weight of excessive work, their spirits dimming with each late night at the office.

But something shifted. I realized that true success isn’t measured by hours logged or sacrifices made. It’s about sustainable growth, both personally and professionally.

Here’s what I’m embracing now:
βœ”Setting boundaries
βœ”Prioritizing self-care
βœ”Redefining success on my own terms

We need to stop promoting the myth that says being overly productive equals being valuable. Let’s write another story, one in which we grow rather than just get by.

What’s your take on work-life balance?
